Observations and Inspections
Observations and inspections provide a way to track data regarding plant health. It allows you to record inspection details through jobs, work orders, or tracking IDs.
Setups
Inspection Setup
Navigate to the Inspection Setup page.
Populate all of the fields on the Inspection setup page. Usually, all fields should have a default INSP entered. This should work for most use cases.
Inspection Templates
Inspection templates help users create new inspections quickly and easily.
Navigate to your Inspection Template LIst.
Select +New in the ribbon.
Tab out of the No. field and it will populate with the next available number.
Give the template a Description.
Select a Category Code.
You can select a Follow-up Template if you know what the next task will be after this inspection template is used.
Populate the Check Template Lines area as needed.
Enter a Type.
Select a Category Code.
Select a Code.
Most other information will be populated when the user creates an inspection from the template.
Select Release on the ribbon.
Cose the page.
Production Managers
Navigate to the Production Managers list.
If you need to add a user to this list then select +New and select the User ID.
Check the box for Allow Assignment To Inspection.
Observation & Inspection Categories
Navigate to the Observation & Inspection Categories list.
Select +New to add a category.
Enter a Code.
In the Observation Code FastTab, populate all of the fields for any criteria you would like to use for your plant inspections. An example could be height.
The Inspection Code area can be populated as needed. For example, you can create a Code as needed, we’ve entered GROWTH here. If you use the Value Type of Text then the user will be able to enter any value. If you use a Value Type of Code, then you can set specific values that the end user will be able to select from.
Close this window and return to your home page.
Use Cases
Manually create an Inspection
Navigate to your Inspection List.
Select New > New from Template.
Populate all of the applicable fields.
In the Execution area, you can assign the inspection to a user.
Source Type allows you to specify from where the inspection was generated.
You’ll need to enter the details for whichever option you select.
Scroll down to the Inspection Lines area to enter information about the inspection results.
This is where you’ll populate information such as the Category Code and Value for your inspection.
The values you’ll enter here are defined by your processes. Please contact your PM, AM, or consultant if you have questions about how to set these up.
Be sure to populate the information in the Follow-up area if required.
This area allows you to create a follow-up task such as a crop treatment.
Select Process > Completed. This will change the status of the inspection to completed.
If everything is correct, select Process > Approve & Post. The inspection will post and the system will create follow-up tasks as specified.
Create an Inspection from a Tracking ID
This option will allow you to create an inspection from the tracking ID list. This could be a useful option if you are walking the facility and notice something that you want to note about a specific plant.
Navigate to Tracking IDs.
On the Tracking ID list page, you can search for a specific tracking ID and open the tracking ID card.
To create an inspection, select Actions > Create Inspection.
An inspection card will be created with information, such as the Source Type and Job Tracking ID, already populated.
Now you can populate the inspection card as usual.
Create an Observation from the Cultivation Job List
Navigate to your Cultivation Job List.
You can create an observation from the Cultivation Job List by selecting your job and then selecting Create Observation on the ribbon.
This will open an Observation Card. Select the Observation Type and the system will provide options for you to select for the observation.
You can now enter information regarding the observation. You may need to select Show more to view all of the options you’ll need to populate.
Create an Inspection from a Work Order
Navigate to your Work Orders list.
Open the work order to want to create and inspeciton from.
Select Actions > Functions > Create Inspection.
An inspection card will open with the information about the job and the work order already populated. Enter all other necessary information.
Select Process > Completed.
Select Process > Approve & Post.
