Welcome to the cultivation (CUL) module of 365 Cannabis. The CUL module of 365 Cannabis is designed to track the day-to-day processes associated with growing and harvesting your cannabis plants. This document will give you an overview of what to expect when using the module. Anyone who works in the CUL area of 365 Cannabis should start with this document.
Getting started
The first thing you’ll need to understand is how to get where you need to be in the system. We recommend you watch this video on navigating the system:
Every area of the system does require some initial data entry. For cultivation, this information will be about your processes and products.
After you enter the initial data for cultivation, jobs, and work orders are how you’re going to tell the system your processes for caring for your plants and who will be responsible for completing those tasks.
CUL User types
In this section, we’ll give you an overview of the different cultivation user types and suggested delegation of responsibilities in the system.
The 365 Cannabis cultivation documentation holds step-by-step directions on performing various cultivation tasks. We’ve divided many of these tasks into 3 tiers of ownership and included suggested responsibilities below.
Technician
Manager
Administrator
Technicians - Responsible for completing the day-to-day tasks in the growth facilities and reporting what they’ve completed through the system. Typical tasks in 365 Cannabis for technicians include:
Navigating to work orders
Processing your work orders
Moving plants
Destroying plants
Harvesting
Post your work order
Managers - Normally responsible for planning the cultivation activities, creating jobs, and assigning work orders through the system.
Planning
Creating jobs
Creating work orders
Assigning work orders
Administrators - The people responsible for the initial setup and making changes to your processes or information in the system. Administrators and managers are often the same people but not always. We’ve set these up as separate users because many of the administration tasks only need to be completed once. We’ll go into more detail about what’s in the setup folder in the 365 Cannabis cultivation setup document, but here is a brief overview of the kind of information in that folder.

Changing your view
Your Role Center is the default view you have when you first log in to the system. You can switch which role center you’re viewing at any time.
Role Centers
When you log into the system you will see your role center. The role center is like your home page. This can be customized with panels and tiles that will act as buttons that will take you straight to the areas of the system you need to access to do your job.
You can check out this document of Role Centers for more information.
The role centers that you may find useful as a cultivator are:
365 Cannabis – Cultivation
365 Mobile Cultivation
The figure is an example of a role center.
Panels and Tiles
Panels and tiles provide an easy way for any user to change what they see on their home screen. The system comes with a number of panels for most user types we encounter. The panels designed for cultivators are:
CNB-CULTPLAN
CNB-GROW
CNB-JOB
CNB-CULTPLAN
CNB-MOBILESCAN
CNB-PRODSCHEME
CNB-WORKORDER
For more information on how to create custom panels and tiles, see the video Customize your view with Panels and tiles.
Jobs and work orders
Managing your CUL operation in 365 Cannabis will consist mostly of creating Jobs and assigning work orders. CUL technicians complete work orders assigned to them, fill out the appropriate information, and submit their work orders for review. The CUL managers will then review and post completed work orders.
Jobs:
Track the entire lifecycle of plants
Contain information about the processes used to cultivate plants
Can span several weeks or months
Created by the cultivation manager
Two main types of jobs:
MS job
Process for creating unrooted cuttings (URC) from MS plant.
Tracks the MS plant throughout its entire lifecycle.
The output will be URC items and waste.
A mother stock (MS) job will track a mother plant throughout its entire lifecycle and output unrooted cutting items. The input will be an MS plant item and the output will be unrooted cuttings. You won’t use this kind of job if you are not cloning plants.
Clone/seed/tissue culture job
Tracks the plant from the time it is planted until it is harvested.
The output will be bulk wet flower and waste.
If you’re creating clones from mothers, then the URC will then be used in a follow-up job that will use the URC items as input that will then produce plants. Plants are tracked in the system as tracking ids and not items.
If you are not creating clones from MS and are using seed popping or tissue culture to grow new plants, then you’ll start with this kind of job. The process will be very similar.
Cultivation jobs follow a plant through its entire lifecycle with the ultimate output of bulk wet flower and waste. Multiple work orders will come from a single job.
Work orders
Work orders are the everyday tasks that are normally assigned to cultivation technicians. The technicians will complete those tasks and enter information about how long it took them or how much actual material they used for the task.
