Manage Multiple Jobs with Production Control

Introduction
Production control allows you to plan, view, and assign jobs and work orders in bulk.
Prerequisites
Set up:
Production Managers
You need to configure Production Managers if you want to be able to assign the work order to a team or a person. Each Production Manager you create also must be a licensed user of 365 Cannabis.
Search for Production Manager List, and select the appropriate option.
Select Edit List from the ribbon to make changes to your production manager’s information.
Add new production managers by selecting +New on the ribbon.
In the User ID field, select a user.
Select Allow assignment to Work Order for users you want to be able to assign tasks.
Select the boxes for any other actions this user is allowed to complete.
Close the page.
Planning Groups
Search for Planning Group List and select the appropriate option from the list.
Select +New to add a new planning group.
Populate the following fields:
Code
Description
Planning Direction – Usually forward
Customer Filter – Usually this is internal
Vender Filter – Also usually internal
Location Filter – Use this if this planning group is location-specific
Toggle the switch to on for Allow Calculate Plan.
In the Items area, you’ll see a list of all the items that belong to that planning group. Add new items as needed by selecting Manage > New Line.
NOTE: You can also use the Get Lines function on the ribbon to apply filters to your item list and add all items that match your criteria.
Close the planning group card.
Item Production Preferences
Search for Item Production Preferences and select the appropriate option from the list.
Select New in the ribbon.
Populate the following fields:
Genus Code
Item No.
Location Code
Vendor No.
Customer No.
Production Scheme
Activity Scheme
Production Plan
Search for Production Plan and select the appropriate option from the list.
Populate the following fields:
Planning Group
NOTE: When you populate this field with an existing planning group and hit the tab key on your keyboard, the rest of the required fields will populate automatically.Customer
Vendor
Location
In the View by field, select the time frame for the jobs you want to view. Options include:
Day
Week
Month
Quarter
Year
Select Get Data on the ribbon. This will populate the Time Line area with information from jobs that are already in progress or planned.
Enter the number of plants you want on the job in the date area. You can also update quantities for existing jobs.
Select Release on the ribbon. This will create cultivation jobs for each line on your production plan or update any existing jobs where you made a change to the quantity.
Production Control
Search for Production Control and select the appropriate option from the list.
On the Production Control screen, you will be given the option to filter information about your items in production.
The Period area allows you to select if you want to view jobs by:
Day
Week
Month
Quarter
Year
Apply the filters you want and select Get Data on the ribbon.
Scroll down to the Sorting area to view information about your jobs in production.
NOTE: When you apply new filters, the information in your Sorting area should update automatically. Select Get Data again if it does not.
Select the jobs you want to release and select Release Jobs on the ribbon.
Select the job you want to assign and select Assign to on the ribbon. This will open your production managers list.
Select the person you want to assign the job to.
Your jobs and work orders will now be assigned to the person you selected.
