Introduction

The Production Plan area can be used with the cultivation module to plan your jobs. With a production plan you can create many jobs at once from a single page by telling the system which item you want to create jobs for and how many plants should be on that job for a specific start date. This is dependent on having Planning Groups and Production Preferences set up to successfully create jobs.

Prerequisites:

Procedure

  1. Search for Production Plan and select the appropriate option from the list.

  2. Populate the following fields in the General FastTab:

    1. Planning Group

      1. NOTE: When you populate this field with an existing planning group and hit the tab key on your keyboard, the following 3 fields will populate automatically.

    2. Customer (Usually internal)

    3. Vendor (Usually internal)

    4. Location

    5. View by:

      1. Day - Use Day when creating jobs.

      2. Week

      3. Month

      4. Quarter

      5. Year

    6. Planning Direction: Forward

  1. Then Select Get Data from the ribbon. This will pull a list of all items associated with the planning group you selected into the Time Line FastTab.

  2. In the Time Line section, find the date you want to start the job and enter the number of plants you want on the job. You can also update quantities for existing jobs in a ‘Planned’ Status.

If you have multiple items associated with the planning group then you’ll be able to enter a quantity for multiple items and create individual jobs based on that information.

  1. Select Release in the ribbon to create the job(s). You will get a prompt identifying how many jobs were created.

You’ll notice that the quantity in the Time Line area changes from red to black to indicate the job has been created. Any jobs you create from the production planning page will show up on your jobs list with a status of Planned. To view the job(s) you can navigate to your planned jobs list.

You can use production planning to make changes to a job that has a status of planned but you can not make changes after the job is released.

To view a specific job, select the ellipses next to the number of plants.

Then select Reports > Show Job(s).
