Create a New Member
When a customer comes to your store for the first time or they are part of a specific group, such as a loyalty club, you may need to add them to your system. This document will show you how to add a new member from the point of sale (POS).
Prerequisites:
Log in to the POS
Start instructions here
Select Customer Add/Edit.
Select New.
Choose the club this member will belong to and press Ok.
At this point, there are two ways to enter the member information.
NOTE: The more information you enter the more ways you can search for a member.Option 1: Manually populate the fields – Enter all the required information in the member contact management screen.
Option 2: Scan the driver’s license – If the terminal has a scanner, select Scan Driver’s License and in the pop-up window, scan the back of the license. Press Ok and all the information on the driver’s license will populate in the respective fields.
Ensure all the fields are populated and press Save.
If any required fields are missing the system will prevent you from saving the member. Press okay, populate the required fields, and try to save again.
NOTE: This will only happen if they have Check-In criteria setup.The new member will be created once all the fields are populated.
