Agricultural Worksheet

The Biological Assets Agricultural Worksheet is used to calculate the net present value of plants. Entries are created by using the Calculate Entries action. Only four fields can be edited after the entries have been calculated:

  • Posting Date

  • Document No.

  • Source Description

  • Post to G/L

Key Actions

  1. Select the Calculate Entries action on the ribbon to select the filtering parameters regarding your biological assets.

  2. Another window will open. Populate all of the following fields you’d like to use:

    1. Calculation as of Date – Defaults to the last date of the prior month.

      1. Used as End Date in calculations.

      2. Used as a Posting Date for entries.

    2. Summary Option – Defaults to item.

      1. Signifies if entries are summarized by Ite, Item Category or Job (Crop).

    3. Document No.

      1. If blank the system will use the No. Series assigned to the selected batch.

    4. Item No. Filter

      1. Optional, used to filter for a particular subset of items.

    5. Item Category Filter

      1. Optional, used to filter for a particular subset of item categories.

  3. Select Schedule… or OK.

    1. If you select Schedule… then another window will open where you can enter more information about how and when you’d like to generate the report.

    2. If you select OK then you’ll return to the Biological Assets Agricultural Worksheet.

  4. Review the information and make any necessary changes. When you’re ready, select Post to post the worksheet entries to the biological asset ledger and general ledger if Post to G/L is true.
