After your Business Central 23 Upgrade
Much of your company’s information will get automatically migrated and updated to your new instance of Business Central 23 (BC23), but there is a short list of things you may need to configure in your new system. Please verify that the following are set up correctly, and contact your account manager (AM), your project manager (PM), or support if you need assistance.
Personalization: Personalization is brought forward in the upgrade, where menus changed or options on the menu did not align between the versions, those personalizations may not have come forward. Users may need to redo a minor amount of personalization.
Tiles: Tiles should function as expected, however, if users have created and/or modified tiles, users may get errors when a field used as criteria is no longer available. Please reach out to support or your project manager for assistance in correcting the lookup.
Config packages: if users are utilizing configuration packages, some fields may have been decremented. An error will present when using the package and specifically referencing the table and field that is the issue. Simply remove that field line from your config pack table/fields.
MSO: If a client is using MSO to synch data between companies, exclude fields Id (8000) and Picture (89) from tables that are part of the configuration package used to do the sync.
User Setup: Users entering sales orders must now have permission to update pricing. In the User Setup page, check Allow Manual Sales Price for all users that enter and/or update prices on sales orders.
Item Tracking Codes: There is a new field on the item tracking codes Create Lot No. Info. On posting which is manually set by our team post upgrade.
