Introduction

If you need to place a hold on an item or a lot until you receive the results from a quality control (QC) test then you can enable the QC Test Lot Blocking feature on the Inventory setup page. This article will explain how to set up lot blocking.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the Inventory Setup page.

   1. Ensure the QC Test Lot Blocking field is enabled.
      
      

      Open

      

2. Navigate to a target item card.

   1. In the Replenishment fasttab, select a QC Test Code.
      
      

      Open

      

   2. Ensure an appropriate item tracking code is populated for lot tracking.

3. Navigate to the QC Test Card related to step 2a.

   1. Ensure Auto Block Lot is enabled.
      
      

      Open

      

Now if you post a positive adjustment against the target item for a new lot, the system should automatically create a QC test instance against the lot.
