BC Creating a Formula that References other Lines

BC Creating a Formula that References other Lines

You also have the option to create a formula that references other lines. For the example we’re going to use here, we want to find the total THC in a sample.

  1. Set the type to Number.

  2. Enter a formula in the Calculated area. In the formula, use [] around line numbers. For example, line 10000 is THC and line 20000 is THCa. The formula to find the total THC is [10000]+(.877*[20000]).

  3. When you apply the QC test on an item, then you’ll fill out the needed values for the formula. The field for the calculated value will automatically populate.

NOTE: You may need to tab through all of the fields before your equation will read the entries.

Each line used in a calculation must have the Type set to Number.
