BC Sales Quotes

Introduction

A sales quote or a blanket order can be used as a preliminary draft for an order, and the order can then be converted to an invoice. This document will show you how to create a sales quote.

Creating a Sales Quote

  1. Search for Sales Quotes and select the appropriate option from the list.

  2. Select +New in the ribbon.

  3. Select the customer. Any information that is on the customer card should populate automatically.

  4. Go to the Lines area.

  5. Select the Type. This is usually an Item.

  6. Select the No. for the item. Any information on the item card should populate automatically.

  7. Enter the Quantity.

  8. Repeat steps 4-7 for any additional items.

  9. Information in the Invoice Details fasttab should populate automatically based on the details for the customer and the items.

  10. You may now request approval or send the quote from the ribbon.

Converting a Sales Quote to a Sales Order

  1. From the sales quote, select Process > Make Order.

  2. You will be asked if you want to convert the quote to an order. Select Yes.

  3. You will be given the document number for the sales order and asked if you want to open the new order. Select Yes to be taken to the order. You can also find the order on the Sales Orders list.
