Follow-Up Jobs in Cultivation: Usability and Efficiency Improvements
In this article
Introduction
These enhancements improve usability and efficiency when working with Follow-Up Jobs in Cultivation. The updates streamline the creation, navigation, and visibility of follow-up jobs from Work Orders and Job Cards.
New Features
1. Follow-Up Job Preferences
A new Follow-Up Job Preferences table has been added. It allows automatic population of job details when creating a follow-up job.
When a user creates a Work Order Output line, the system will:
Check for a matching Activity Code + Item No. in the Follow-Up Job Preferences table.
If found, it will auto-fill:
Follow-Up Job Type Code
Production Scheme Code
Activity Scheme Code
📌 The actual creation of the follow-up job must still be manually triggered using Create Follow-Up Job.
2. Auto-Release Follow-Up Jobs
When the Auto-Release setting is enabled, follow-up jobs will be automatically released immediately after posting the original work order output.
3. Auto-Navigate or Prompt to Open
If Auto-Navigate is enabled, the follow-up job automatically opens after the original output is posted.
If Auto-Navigate is disabled, users will be prompted to open the follow-up job instead.
4. Improved Job Navigation with Factboxes
A new Factbox on the Job Card shows:
Follow-Up Jobs created from the current job
Source Jobs linked to the current job
Includes a Show Job action that opens the selected related job.
The target page has been updated to support seamless navigation between jobs.
How to Configure
Set Up Follow-Up Job Preferences
Navigate to the Follow-Up Job Preferences table.
Define preferences for combinations of:
Item No.
Activity Code
Follow-Up Job Type

These options are controlled from the Cannabis Setup page.
